ALMEMO® 202

High-precision temperature measurement with digital sensors

published on Dec 30, 2014

Over 80% of all industrial measurement tasks involve temperature measurement. If accuracy is required, the sensor and its basic accuracy is not necessarily the decisive factor. What is important is the interaction of measuring instrument and probes as well as the technology used. From the precision forge of the company Ahlborn in Holzkirchen near Munich, now comes a measurement system for high-precision temperature measurement, which is not just confined to the laboratory. Through the use of a digital, intelligent connector combined with Pt 100 sensor, a resolution of 0.01 K is achieved over the entire measuring range up to + 850.00 ° C. In NTC sensors this increases to 0.001 K in the range of -20.000 to + 65.000 ° C. The linearization of the Pt100 characteristic is error-free according to DIN IEC 751 calculated (no approximations), in addition to the digital ALMEMO® D7 Connector with its own AD converter. The NTC characteristic is calculated error-free with the Galway Steinhart coefficient. The sensors are connected via the professional digital meter ALMEMO® 202.

The overall accuracy of the measurement is independent from the display device. Thanks to the intelligent connection plug each individual sensor retains its characteristic data and can be changed at will. To aid identification or measuring station assignment, a 20-character comment can be programmed in the plug. This means that if your meter is not available, the highly accurate sensors can be connected with their data easily to another ALMEMO® meter.
