High-precision measurement of humidity

The new digital psychrometer FPA 836-3P3 from Ahlborn is equipped with two high-precision Pt 100 temperature sensors. The sensor when on the meter provides a resolution of 0,001 K without any linearization errors. Thus, the dry and wet bulb temperature values are recorded accurately. Based on the formulas of Dr. Sonntag and taking into account the enhancement factor for W. Bögel all humidity parameters are calculated exactly.
In addition, the sensor from the factory is adjustable in several ways, and the error curve stored in the plug. The Pyschrometer sensor is connected to the measuring instrument via 2 electrically isolated inputs. An air pressure sensor is installed and so air pressure calculations are included. Measuring range and accuracy can be increased significantly when compared to older systems. Relative humidity, dew point, mixing, absolute humidity, vapor pressure and enthalpy can all be measured.
